Computer 1480644... Everything is running stock. I get a large percentage of client errors. It's a server, but it sits, largely unused. Any recommendations |

Could be bad RAM - I would try testing it with Prime95 to start with. Download and run it, then hit 'just stress testing' and then try the blend test. Danny |

Given that the handful of failures I looked at all were successfully completed by the next machine they were assigned to, and given that you do complete many successfully as well... ya sounds like an intermittent memory problem as opposed to a BOINC setup problem, authority, etc. Rosetta Moderator: Mod.Sense |

hmmm...I'll need some time to check it out. All other server functions seem to be fine though. |

Try: http://pcsupport.about.com/od/toolsofthetrade/tp/memorytest.htm Or try: http://www.xtremesystems.org/forums/showthread.php?201670-LinX-A-simple-Linpack-interface I don't know how RAM-instensive is the latter, but it can be run within windows, if booting from a CD/Pendrive is too much of a hassle (It'll test your CPU to the limit, so it'd be good to run it as well, just to check how stable is your CPU and discard a CPU/Motherboard computational error). Try leaving LinX run 20 passes using all the RAM avalible. If something is wrong withing your system, LinX will find it for sure. |

The same rig never turns in a client error on Seti. Could it be because I am running an old client? 5.xx |

Could it be because I am running an old client? 5.xx Could be as there is a minimum, if you go to 'download Boinc' page and then click 'all versions' you will a list of several versions of Boinc with the oldest allowed being at the bottom of the list. |
