On 6/12/05 at 0636 PST I uploaded a result to Rosetta. Having successfully uploaded a result, it said "Deferring communications with project for 3 minutes and 57 seconds." And that is the last contact BOINC has tried to make with Rosetta for approximately 18 hours. At 2010 I manually triggered an update; it said among other things "Note: not requesting new work or reporting results." The "Scheduler request succeeded", and then it went back to "Deferring communication with project for 3 minutes and 57 seconds." And again silence. Is Rosetta off line? If so, perhaps something could be mentioned in the technical news area. With this and the other problems I've been having with Rosetta (work units sticking at multiples of 10 % completion), I'm on the brink of taking my clutch of computers and going home... |

Do you run other projects at the same time? If so Boinc is going into EDF-Mode (earliest deadline first) and you are not getting any new work (depending on cache size)! |

Hmm. Yes, I'm running SETI as well. But SETI is having DB problems of late, and I have had times when all WU on SETI are finished, and yet it would not get new Rosetta work. At least on this box, SETI is being issued a 2-week deadline, and Rosetta is getting a 1-month deadline. Which means that every Rosetta unit will take a minimum of two weeks... if it ever downloads any. |

Suspend work request for Seti, see if that helps, and you are getting a lot of error for the first and last computer and the middle one has about 5 errors , just for info...... BOINC Wiki |
