When I left Seti in March 2007 they admitted that all data being returned was just being left on the shelf for analysis at a 'later date', apparently they had no resources to analyze it! I decided I was not crunching for a project that could not take the time to do anything with all my pc's hard work! That is why, and when, I came to Malaria!! The community will keep it afloat as they have in the past I don't know how 'tight' they are, but ALOT of us are former Seti crunchers. Seti does seem to the starting point for alot of Distributed Computing crunchers, but most move on only to be replaced by others. According to this page http://boincstats.com/index.php?pr=sah Seti does have by far the most number of users, and is getting more and more every day, but it does not show the number of people that join and never return a unit or leave shortly after joining. The other projects stats however show an increase also, meaning some must be switching from project to project, and/or joining multiple projects, to account for the numbers.
