https://boinc.bakerlab.org/rosetta/workunit.php?wuid=341721474

on the link above you can see that the work unit has been marked valid but the awarded credit is zero - but only for me!

What is going on??

Unlike other BOINC projects, the normal on Rosetta is that only one user is assigned a given work unit. The one you pointed out was assigned to someone that completed and returned it after the 10 day deadline. In the meantime it was reassigned because it had passed the expiration date. I'm pretty sure there is a fix for this in a newer version of the BOINC server code. But Rosetta's servers have not been updated in a while. Fortunately it does not occur very often.

Your client looks to be using a very old version of BOINC as well. You might download and install the current BOINC version here

So this is 'just one of those things' and is part and parcel of crunching this project?

It is, because it suits my needs - unlike the newer versions which overly complicate the working offline aspect.

When I follow the link I find these results:

Yep, all's good. Infact, all was good once I realised (had explained) what
had happened in terms of teh single issue stuff. Even better now that I've got credit as well. :)

If I recall correctly, there was a script introduced on one of the servers as a work-around for this which issues credit for these uncredited but valid jobs every 24 or 48 hours...

Yes, I believe the credit granting script runs nightly.

I didn't mean to say this is expected or tolerable behavior. It is less then optimal. It stems from a bug in the system... which I believe there is a fix for, but the project has not yet installed the version with the fix. So, was trying to explain that it's a known problem, and give some assurance that eventually the Rosetta servers will incorporate the code with the fix.
