Why does it mention something about the GPU when Rosetta doesn't support GPU computing? How can I make it download a workunit for the CPU?

Correct, R@h does not have a GPU application, BOINC asks anyway, this is how it finds out the project has no GPU application.

Not sure why you didn't get any CPU work, but BOINC will retry automatically and probably get some very soon.

[edit]From the number of tasks, it looks like the server briefly ran dry and is rebuilding a supply of work now.

All of his pc's have work now although one of them only has one in progress with none in the cache

And right this minute the server is showing Ready to send 50,484, so there should be plenty when it asks again.

Well, I'm in the same boat as the OP. Despite the 50K+ tasks available, I can't DL any.

Do your other projects have plenty of work? If so you too could be running into Long Term Debt issues. Go into Boinc Manager and then Projects, click on Rosetta ad then Properties on the left, go all the way to the bottom and post the numbers you see under 'Scheduling'.

Also what version of Boinc are you using?

Thanks for the offer to help. I also crunch Seti and Milkyway. Seti is down presently so no work from them and I am maxed out on task allowance from Milkyway. CPU scheduling shows -86400 and CPU work fetch priority is -625820.54. Work fetch deferred indicates a - (dash)

Boinc version is 6.10.58

Okay then there is a manual fix if you'd like....shut down Boinc and find the file 'client_state.xml' and open it with Notepad. It is in a hidden file folder called 'program data' directly under the C:. Once it is open and Boinc is SHUT DOWN, scroll down until you find a line, about half way down under Projects, that looks like this:
<long_term_debt>0.000000</long_term_debt>

Change your number to 1.000000 from what is there. Right above the Long Term Debt is another line that says:
<short_term_debt>0.000000</short_term_debt>

Change it to 1.000000 also. Save the file, do NOT rename it just save it, start Boinc back up and it should start getting work right away.

If you chose you can also do nothing and Boinc WILL fix this on its own, it could just take a LONG TIME to do it, weeks or perhaps even months.

In the interim, I detached from the project, then re-attached. Everything reset itself and now I've got lots of work. Thanks again.
