Hello,
I have some problemen with reading out the out-files.
On both Linux and Windows i get this log:

[2010- 1- 5 17:18:41:] :: BOINC:: Initializing ... ok.
Can't open init data file - running in standalone mode
[2010- 1- 5 17:18:43:] :: BOINC :: boinc_init()
BOINC:: Setting up shared resources ... ok.
failed to create shared mem segment: minirosetta Size: 4001648
BOINC:: Setting up semaphores ... ok.
CreateSemaphore failure! Cannot create semaphore!
BOINC:: Updating status ... ok.
BOINC:: Registering timer callback... ok.
BOINC:: Worker initialized successfully.
Registering options..
Registered extra options.
Initializing broker options ...
Registered extra options.
Initializing core...
Initializing options.... ok
Options::initialize()
Options::adding_options()
Options::initialize() Check specs.
Options::initialize() End reached
ERROR: Option matching -extract not found in command line top-level context

does someone know ehat to do?

The first error would seem to be key here:
"failed to create shared mem segment"

So the program starts running, but is not allowed to get memory to do work. This sounds like a security issue with the machine BOINC is installed on. You will have to carefully study the user that is running BOINC, and the authorities it has.

If the machine was working ok previously under the same setup, the please locate the version number and post a link to the result in the thread for that version on the Number Crunching board.

On linux i run it as "root" (su)
On windows im a administrator (both locally as on the network) so pollicies wont prefent me for anything. i just going to digg it out more.

BOINC should work NOT running as root. I think you need to configure more shared memory on your Linux system.
