I just read an article in Nature concerning metalloproteins (proteins containing metal ions.) Does Rosetta do any work with metalloproteins or is that outside the scope of Rosetta's design?

There has been quite a lot of work done with zinc. This is a link to an old message in RALPH when these work units were first introduced to us.

Additional information about zinc can also be found in the sticky post: Structure prediction of zinc-binding proteins.

we are doing a lot with metals these days: both predicting structures of metal containing proteins (this is interesting because proteins tend to organize around metals, and we had to extend Rosetta to describe this), and designing enzyme catalysts that use a metal to help break chemical bonds.
