When trying to download wu's I get this:

Message from server: server error: can't attach shared memory

I've never seen this before from Rosetta. Cannot get any wu's.

My Linux box was getting a shared memory error for a couple days; now it just keeps stating it is retrieving the scheduler files and then doesn't. It just resets to retry 24 hours later. My 13 work units are coming up on deadline. I checked my server location and it said server 4. What next??

Stan, could you post your messages, and the details showing srv4?

if the machine isn't on long enough to cycle through 11 server connections (and therefore downloading the updated master file list), will it start at 0 connections when the computer is restarted or will it continue from where it left off? I've got quite a few remote machines that have been sat idle until I've logged in and hit 'update' in boinc manager until they get the new master file and connect.

This shows that I was on and attempted to run the update for 30 minutes.

It never came back with a response - just reset the clock to say it would check back in 24 hours.

Neither client_state.xml nor client_state_prev.xml contained server information as shown in previous posts

the master_boinc file now shows a parsing error, however it showed sv4

I will attempt reboot and see if that corrects the parsing error.
