Please report issues and bugs with Minirosetta v1.39 in this thread. In this update, we added two important applications, protein docking and protein folding with explicit metal ions. From the graphics, you probably can tell them by a structure with two different chain colors and a protein folding around a colored sphere, respectively. See the Rosett@home science section for more descriptions on these projects. |

Well, I did wonder why the date of the newspost was June 10th.....but apart from that, it seems to work fine. |

As with the last couple of mini rosetta versions I've got several pages of results with nothing but WU failures, but on the rare occasion where the BOINC client sees fit to send rosetta 5.98 WUs those process just fine. See results: https://boinc.bakerlab.org/rosetta/results.php?userid=254884 |

https://boinc.bakerlab.org/rosetta/workunit.php?wuid=185612716 This workunit just stopped immediately after it started it's computation. https://boinc.bakerlab.org/rosetta/workunit.php?wuid=185409243 This work unit had a similar problem, only it ran for 40 seconds. |

Had a problem with this WU on one of my Linux systems: relax_lbench_mtyka_large_test2_1a32_IGNORE_THE_REST_S_00011_0001004_0_test_10.0.out_4655_1_0 It kept restarting about once a minute. It had been doing this for about 8 hours so I aborted it. Boinc manager showed the CPU time being reset to zero with each restart. The stdout.txt file had grown to around 14MB. It had a lot of messages about inflating files, which repeateed with each restart. The Boinc messages tab showed a very large number of messages like: ... Hi, I'm pretty new here, yet my 1st report. :] Task ID 203599248, WU ID 185962994, Win XP Pentium M machine. I've got a computational error with following description: "(...)ERROR: in::file::zip minirosetta_database.zip does not exist!(...)" I have taken a look for such a file and it is non-existant. However, in C:Documents and SettingsAll UsersApplication DataBOINCprojectsboinc.bakerlab.org_rosetta I found a minirosetta_database_rev25321 file with a minirosetta_database folder inside. It looks like a mismatch between expected and actual name of the file. So far I've copied the (...)_rev25321 file and renamed a copy to minirosetta_database. Hope it will work next time. If it runs, I will halt it and wait for your feedback to avoid any messing with the data. EDIT: Copy trick did not work. The second WU got a "computational error" (Task ID 203661162) with the same description. Both were of a CASP8 type - I didn't have any such before. EDIT2: Seems to be the same as a report in a massage 56524 above and other similar. P.S. I've noticed that graphical Rosetta application occasionally shuts down. You need to restart it and goes all right. P.S.S. Second thing is that BOINC install wizard makes a couple of strange things, like creating a boinc_master folder in Documents and Settings. The folder does not hold any BOINC data (as I may see) however duplicates some previously existing data from personal folders. I know this is not your application, however it might potentially mess with file locations. I hope I will help somehow. :) Best regards. |

Well, I took the plunge and updated my Boinc manager to v 6.2.19. I was afraid that projects wouldn't attach properly and/or other glitches but everything went extremely smoothly and mini-rosetta seems to work fine now. I did uninstall the old Boinc manager first and close out all unecessary programs. |

I had 17 tasks of this type during Oct 31 and they all errored out after just a few secs. Problems are reported under Rosetta Mini with new score terms and Rosetta Mine with new score terms 1.02. Probably why they are not sending out new WUs. Strangely enough there is no info from the project. Just got a new task using the same client. But, time to completion 7:44:52. Darn, it errored out immediately. |
