I was wondering if you would consider using forum software that puts active message threads at the top? I think it would generate more interest/forum participation.

Once you've logged in to the website, click the link at the top of this message board page for "[Participants]", then click the link for "community preferences". Change the ordering of threads any way you like. You could define "active" as either threads with the most posts, or threads with the most views. Whichever you like. Be sure to save your changes.
