ComfortablyNumb BOINC is setup to get work as it is needed. When you force a project update, and see the message you've shown about "...not requesting new work..." it just means that BOINC is going through the motions of contacting the server, but there really was nothing for it to do. If you would LIKE to have more tasks ready to go, you can change your computing perferences, either on the website for the venue of the machine, or in the local preferences. ComfortablyNumb I've been running BOINC and Rosetta for about a year. I've never really had a problem contacting the server before. The part I was wanting to show was where it said "Project is temporarily shut down for maintenance". Edit; I also saw recently in a different thread. That the servers were having problems over the weekend. |

I was just noticing your message formatting too. You are on a rather old version of BOINC. It would be good to get it upgraded. There are many changes that enhance the communications and recovery areas of the client. Rosetta Moderator: Mod.Sense |

There are many changes that enhance the communications and recovery areas of the client. I tried the latest version 2 days ago. My pc lags so bad with it. Plus when I tried to shutdown boinc to reboot, it doesn't want to shut down. Was rather unstable as well. I had to go back to 5.8.16. Version I tried was 6.2.14. I see that's a development version. I'll give 5.10.45 a try. |

I think there must've been a server problem as that one thats uploading in my pic has been trying to upload since last night. The one below finished and sent before the top one finally went back (single core cpu) |
