I'm getting repeated disk space errors - says i need another 203MB. Anyone else getting this?

P.S. i've got 11GB free. I'm going to update BOINC as i'm running 5.4.11 but never had any problems before, and only had around 3GB free until a week or so ago...

Sorry for the cryptic post - i was at work. I was getting the 'There is work but you don't have enough disk space allocated.' message so I don't know what tasks were causing it.

I upgraded the BOINC client and it downloaded some work fine. I'd hate to think anyone with an old client won't be able to get work though. This is the computer that was showing the problem if it's of use?:

have a look in the message logs of your boinc manager's if they happened on the current version. then select the lines and copy paste them back here for him to see.

I've got another machine that's getting the 'not enough disk space' error and is now idling: hostid=587655

The disk is small (1GB compactflash card) but it's never had problems before, and has ~350MB free, and the BOINC settings are:

Leave at least: 0.00 GB free (also tried 0.01)
Use at most: 10GB
Use at most: 100%

so it's not a problem with those settings. It must be the disk space requirements on the jobs in the queue???

I'm freeing up some disk space in the mean time so it'll pick up some work, but this might be one of the reasons for the project's falling RAC.

The rsc_disk_bound is set at ~500MB so you need at least this much space. We can reduce this once our minirosetta database cleanup routine is fixed.
