Hi, I have done something silly for sure when I added a new pc running Rosetta, and it hasn't appeared on my account - but seems to have created a new one. How do I correct this? My original account I want to keep is user 99825 and the new one I wanted to add to the old one is 226412. Can anyone assist me? Thanks, Far |

There is no way to combine accounts. The only thing you can do is de-attach the new computer from the other account, and then add it to this account. Unfortunately any credits on the other account will stay there. |

Even although they have the same email address - is there still no way? |

I don't believe it is possible they both have exactly the same EMail address. You could prove the other EMail address by signing on now as the other user account and posting a message. Rosetta Moderator: Mod.Sense |

Now that I have detached the project and it is connected and started again on my new one, how can I find enough info to logon as the original user (and if the email address is incorrect, change it)? I have the original account numbers above (and also the CPID's). How can I verify the email address that the duplicate account uses? When that pc was connected to the extra account I clicked on the "Your account" button on the boinc app and I checked the email address was ok. I'm assuming the account_lhcathome.cern.ch.xml authenticator field will have been overwritten when I attached it correctly to my original account? |

...that would be the xml file for lhc. But yes, once you've reattached under another user ID, the information you were using is overwritten. Rosetta Moderator: Mod.Sense |
