What does "max # of error/total/success tasks" mean, all the WU's I complete say 1,2,1 does that mean my work has errors?

What does "max # of error/total/success tasks" mean, all the WU's I complete say 1,2,1 does that mean my work has errors?

The Rosetta project uses Boinc to provide the backbone to its application. Boinc is programmed to be useable by many dozens of projects. Most projects have a form of Validation set up that requires them to send more than one "exact copy" of a wu out so it can compare the answers from those users. Rosetta only needs to send one copy, but the framework is already in place. Everyone sees those same parameters(at rosetta anyway, they change based upon the needs of the project) as its set by the project and is not related to anything you/I did.

It merely says that the max number of acceptable errors it will accept before deeming the wu canceled is ONE, The max total number that they'll send is 2, and that it'll count the wu as complete when one user successfully crunches it. For the following two examples, think of the wu sent as the "question", and your returned one as the "answer".

1) if they send out the "question", and the user "successfully" returns an "answer", then the parameter "max success" of 1 is met and the "question" is no longer needed, so it's removed from Rosettas database after storing the "answer".

2) Let pretend it sent a "question" but somthing happened on the server or users end which ended in an "error". That would set the "max number of errors" parameter and trigger Rosetta to send out the question to one different user. If that user returns an error, the "max number of errors" parameter would cause rosetta to delete the "question" from the database, and set it to "failed". Since the parameter "max sent" is two and two have been sent, it won't send the question to another user. But, if the second question was answered successfully, then "max success" is met (see example 1).

Does this make sense? I'm typing it prior to coffee.

Makes sense thanks for that, I totally understand.

Thank you for clarifying
