Hi guys, Im really considering building a new pc, one thats fast as for boinc, whats the recommendations, would run xp pro (most likely) what specs would u recommend, it would be also used for surfing and chatting ie msn, while its cruching, while this one also worked away all set for boinc.

suggestions anyone?

don't know your budget or time frame, but...

Intel Q6600 (L2 = 8mb) now,

or

Intel Q9450 (L2 = 12mb) if you can wait until January-ish.

Rosie loves large L2.

mmm im just wondering i have a gigabyte GA-p35-ds3r mobo would that Intel Q9450 work on this mobo?
