The project will be down, Tuesday the 31st, from 10am to around 4pm PST to replace the fileserver on RAC. Does this mean no WU will be sent or will they be sending extra WU to cover the time they will be down? I only run RAC so if the project will be down I could do some driver updates, virus scan etc. during this time. Thanks Jon |

Does this mean no WU will be sent or will they be sending extra WU to cover the time they will be down? No WU will be available for download during this period, and no extra ones will be sent out. You're best off leaving your 'connect to network every x days' setting to something in the region of at least 1 so you keep a healthy queue for such outages though. HTH Danny |

So yes, the project issues as much work as your machine requests. By setting your "connect every... days" setting higher, you tell your machine to keep more work on hand. The project cannot push work to you, you have to request it, so that is the simplest way to set things up so your machine has enough work to keep crunching during most any outage, scheduled or not.
