Matthias, your hosts are hidden, so I cannot say exactly. But the only way I am aware of to have your daily quota reach 1 is to fail to process at least 100 other tasks in a short time. You will have to identify the cause of these failures to resolve the problem. You will be sent 1 tasks per day. Once you complete one and return it, your limit will be doubled to 2 more for the day and your limit will be doubled again once you return these completed results.

If you could post links to some of the failing tasks on this host, that would help determine why they are failing. Or, change your Rosetta Preferences to unhide your hosts, and post a link to the host.

Once your resolve the crunching problem, the downloads and quotas will resolve themselves.

Okay, that sounds comprehensible because I had ~20 results and now 100?! Here is the link, thanks for the quick help!

that's just insane the number of client errors you have.
only 6-8 total successfully completed projects and hundreds of client errors and one computer error. hopefully mod.sense can suggest something.

I would personally uninstall and reinstall BOINC and try running the program again.

The errors are in downloading to your machine. So this sounds like a network/internet/firewall problem. My experience is that a simple reboot of the machine often resets Windows internet problems.

do these errors show in the messages portion of BOINC? or is the only way to see downloading errors is to goto your results page?

also, what the meaning of this message:
this comes off one of his results that has client error downloading

<core_client_version>5.10.13</core_client_version>
<![CDATA[
<message>
WU download error: couldn't get input files:
<file_xfer_error>
<file_name>abrelax_control_description.txt</file_name>
<error_code>-200</error_code>
</file_xfer_error>

...I deactivatet the router-firewall and my software firewall for testing if it would work then...but it dosen't do...What do you mean with the internet problems if I restart the machine?

And what exactly can I do know?

I can't say as specific as mod.sense, but there can be general errors within windows, updates of programs,removals or other various errors related to communications. Perhaps the install of BOINC went bad, I can't say specifically.

So if you have work units that are over an hour in completed time, then I would shut down and restart your box and reconnect to the internet and then tell BOINC to update the project and see what messages come through. If your work units restart ok and report ok and download ok, whatever the problem was it is gone. If you still get problems then you need to describe the problem, also say in here what antivirus,firewall software you are using. Also you might restart you router as well and see if there was a "brain fart" in it as well.

But...it dosen't take effect as well. It shows me that BOINC loads news workunits from the Projekt, but nothing happens. Now the messages are:

30.07.2007 08:14:25|rosetta@home|[error] Checksum or signature error for abrelax_control_description.txt
30.07.2007 08:14:25|rosetta@home|[error] Checksum or signature error for ccfrags200.txt

Im using Bitdefender Internet Security 10 as firewall and antivirus, I restartet the router and reinstalled the client...so what could that now be?

I got it!! My lovely brother played with the router...so the router identify BOINC as a invader and it blocks it. So i just deletet the entry and now it seams that it works :)

Okay big thanks again, see you.
