Does anybody know why nearly all computers have 976.56KB of "cache" in computer stats? I know full well that not every CPU has 1MB cache. So what "cache" is this refering to?

A problem in the Boinc program, Windows I believe causes this.

But it is something to do with CPU cache? I just wondered this as I thought it meant some kind of cache in the RAM or something!?

Yes the level2 cache (or +lvl3 or maybe even 1+2+3+...) it depends what is reported, my linux system reports the lvl2 cache of my P-M as 1024kB
https://boinc.bakerlab.org/rosetta/show_host_detail.php?hostid=435323

When it's in Windows it just say 976.56KB 'default' value, hence ignore it for windows computers.
Look at top hosts
https://boinc.bakerlab.org/rosetta/top_hosts.php
and you'll see 4096KB reported for Linux systems for the quads and the default 976.56KB for windows and Mac.
