BOINC icon with white circle/red X

However when I attempted to connect and upload jobs from 2 Athlon 1.2 (T-bird cores) everything locked on both machines and the BOINC icon in the lower right tray had a white circle with a red X on it. I cannot even get into contol panel to see if I can do an unistall and reinstall to get the machines back up. The two machines are not networked but are connected to the same phone line. Did you try restarting the machines, that could solve the lockup problem.
