Excuse my Linux ignorance, but I am slowly learning how to use it with Knoppix. I was curious if anyone knew how to get graphics to work on my Boinc Knoppix client?

Everything is working fine in processing units, but it's just not able to display graphics..?

Any ideas?

Okay, I did that. I found them on Dell's website. I used fakeroot to install the ATI RPM package.

I'm presuming I have to restart the x86free shell in Knoppix before it'll work. Any idea how to do that?

Okay scratch that. I found out how to restart the KDE shell. I checked the system information and I don't think it picked up the ATI driver. Any way to verify this?

(The show graphics option is still greyed out.)

Just to be sure, once you start the client app, you need to run boincmgr. that's the gui to control the client.

Yes, I'm running the boinc_mgr just fine. I'm pretty sure it's just due to lack of proper video drivers installed. I will likely need to install a full version of Linux for it to work I guess (and install the correct video driver.)
