I'm using a dual G5 powermac. The client does download two work units, but only seems to be working on one at a time, judging from looking at the BOINC manager window -- CPU time is only ticking on one of the two work units. But, when looked at using activity monitor, both processes are actually running. If I quit out of the manager and restart, both numbers are ticking again. Is this a known issue for the mac client? It doesn't seem to happen on my dual core AMD linux box. Stephen |

Check your General Preferences for maximum number of CPUs BOINC is allowed to use (and be aware that you could set this differently for each location, so go to the top of the messages in BOINC Manager and confirm which location's configuration that Mac is using). If you do need to change it, then your client will have to udpate to the project for the change to take effect. Rosetta Moderator: Mod.Sense |

Another possibility: There's been comments about memory usage settings with the latest Boinc clients causing issues like this when two large memory WUs are downloaded. Check the Use at most (% of memory) when Busy/Idle settings, the amount of ram in the system, and the amount of ram being used by the single Rosetta WU that is running. |
