I did install the "Ultimate" add on of Vista called "DreamScene preview" and i used for 4 days the default windows back ground of it. After 4 days, i saw my RAC on the Quad Core QX6700 running at 4Ghz to drop by 100 points, that means DreamScene has a 5% impact on the RAC of Rosetta. other little details: Look at the Top 20 computer list ... I added some "sponsored toys" to help Rosetta. who? |

Intel is dominating... When do you put the 45nm toys crunching rosetta? I'm sure you already play with them and it's not top secret stuff anymore. Only the performance... Show us what they can do (without being fired). |

Intel is dominating... When do you put the 45nm toys crunching rosetta? I am not going to show any 45nm performance here, i could get fired for this!!!!!! Let's say I do not worry about K8L, alias K9, alias K10 ... may be K11 ... sorry ... I forgot to say, I expect the performance drop due to Dreamscene to be higher on slower machines, but again: DreamScene is soo cool! I love it! You can get nice windows media HD clips from microsoft.com/windowsmedia and transform your desktop into a animated aquarium in 1080P!! only 5% impact! I ll keep doing it! so good looking effect! Sad they do not support DivX HD clips, because the compression is better. who? |

If you like funky graphics and eye candy, check this out: well, i got it to run, but i got to say that it was really hard to set up, and kind of feel sick after playing with it for 30 min ... Quake/Doom motion sickness ... I still miss the coolest feature I ever saw on a screen: F10/F11/F12 keys on a MAC, with autoreorganization of the windows ...so easy to pick your windows in the MAC OS. who? |
