Site status says everything is up, but, I am getting these messages in the log files, followed by "Project is down"

perhaps it may need to have it's shared memory handles removed manually and then allow the program to recreate them.. (sendmail sometimes does that when using shared memory and warm restarts... this may be similar, depending on the OS)..

Just so I can say it.

Same issue here.

Project Down when reporting as of 11:15 AM CST, even though the project is "Up".

Same issue here.

I run XP with AMD CPU, although I doubt that has anything to do with it.

Edit: I did not get a shared memory error. I am on dial-up, and after I made "network activity always available," BOINC requested new work and reported "project is down" although the project was up. I had no results that I could have uploaded or reported.

At least I didn't notice any "shared memory error." I exited and restarted BOINC, so my error messages have been wiped.

Same here. I can upload results, but cannot "report" them. I cannot download any new work units either.

"Message from server: Project encountered internal error: shared memory"

Same thing here too. Server status shows all OK, but "project encountered internal error: shared memory" messages display when any kind of boinc client comms attempted.

Looks like the project WAS down...

From the homepage, news:
Oct 12, 2006
Outage Notice: The project will be down tomorrow morning, Friday, at around 6:15 AM to 8:00 AM PST due to a scheduled power upgrade at our on-campus datacenter.

Still is down... tho it says it's up....
This error started occurring after it came back up...

I am not worried, when I saw the project outage notification yesterday, I punched up my number of days between connections and downloaded about 3 days worth of crunching tasks... so my CPU's will stay busy until someone notices these messages...

Yes, but they think it is "back up" according to this on the website:

Outage Resolved: The project is back online. The power upgrades have been completed.

It should be up now. There was a bit of trouble starting up the project.

If you still have tasks onboard and are not already using the max "Target CPU run time", then you can change this in https://boinc.bakerlab.org/rosetta/prefs.php?subset=project to a higher value. Max is 24 hours, the default is 3 hours.

BTW there are 3 threads with identical titles about this problem!

If you have run out of Rosetta work there are plenty of other BOINC projects out there.
