I believe you must be looking at a WU from Ralph (the beta test of each upcoming Rosetta release). There is some info on the boards there. Great stuff coming! ...nope! Just checked the Rosetta applications page and it shows v5.01, this means it's here already!!! ...and to answer your NEXT question... unless you're having specific problems with Rosetta on your PC, go ahead and crunch the 4.98 WUs. No "XS" is right Rosy just went to 5.01!! Great news for the Windoze folks (sorry Mac guy). So now maybe we can get down and crunch some serious proteins. I have never seen a Release log for Rosy, but it would be a VERY nice and welcome addition. A lot of people would like to know what is going on when they get a new release. (sorry Mac guy) All the applications went to 5.01 I have never seen a Release log for Rosy, but it would be a VERY nice and welcome addition. A lot of people would like to know what is going on when they get a new release. Yes, more detail would be great. They did later added a brief (as it should be on the homepage) post on the homepage under "news". I'd like to point out that the dialup users WANT TO KNOW when a new release comes out, because it's going to mean an extensive download time for them. And if they can schedule that, by crunching other projects or sit down now and do it by suspending WUs to force it to get more now, they'd appreciate the opportunity. I think a changelog would be nice. Just a couple of lines, so that people get a better feeling of the progress done, bugs squashed etc... Probably wouldn't take more than a minute to write, on top of that... Happy crunshin' with 5.01 :) - trib' |

For anyone on dialup or want the pdb file remeber you can always get the apps from here, it's also a good place to check if the other versions are out :-) Means I can pop to a quick connection, grab it (and it cost me nothing as well) then ut it in the rosetta directory. Boinc intelegent enough to notice it there so saving all the computer form having to download it. Specially as I seem to be able to run 1day jobs without problem I'm moving more computers back over. As for changlog, if your really nosey you can look at Ralph forums, but I guess they'll put up a tech note. But the major 'fix' is auto cancelation of stuck jobs The new app 5.01 has some new science stuff and some new error-catching stuff that we're testing. Team mauisun.org |

Whoa! It's all right there. Am I correct to say that there's no way to pre-download the protein directories? I have opened a thread on the Number Crunching forum for the project to use as a change log. I have also asked them if they would either keep it updated or send the info to me so I can update it. I think a change log would help all of use. While it is possible to infer something from the information on RALPH, that information has only limited applicability to Rosetta. It is more of a forecast than a current status. Moderator9 ROSETTA@home FAQ Moderator Contact |
