Hello Rosetta has been calculating for several months on my PC! I have already tried to ask for help but no one answers me, the work seems to be done since several tasks are executed but after a certain time the deadlines expire and the whole work does not advance more. I have already deleted the project several times to reload it, but nothing helps. Could someone help me by looking at my PC? I have other projects underway that are working normally. (I am French and use Google translation) Thank you in advance! |

Hi, I don't see any tasks on your PC. If your Rosetta@home tasks are passing their deadlines, then you must reduce the work cache. |

Thank you for your reply. At the moment it does not give me a task to execute but again yesterday I had 3 which seemed to run in a loop for a zero result. How do I remove the cache? |

Open BOINC Manager, go to tools - computing preferences - store at least X.XX days of work. Change the number to a lower figure. 0.1 for example. Also, I see you are running Milkyway@home on your CPU. Milkyway uses all CPU's for 1 task. I suppose it's possible that this ends up causing BOINC to only switch to Rosetta@home tasks when the deadline is very close and thus you end failing to deliver the tasks on time. |

Try resetting your Default Settings. BOINC seems to have some problems i can't seem to get anything for World Community Grid to work, it also seems to vary how much Disc Space tasks need too it just wanted to give me 2 that required more so i would give it 5GB, and a tip for doing Tasks is let it give you 2, click No New Tasks in Project Commands and then Suspend one of them (at least bigger tasks that take 1 day), until the one you're doing is done then Resume the other they get done A LOT faster, they seem to also get done SO much faster when BOINC is Minimized into your Icon Tray too i'm not sure why but it's saved me hours even just giving it 35% CPU, 40% CPU Time and 35% - 40% Memory, i run it while i use the computer at these minimum levels cos i get more done this way and i don't use all my CPU and Memory while not playing games so Why not? lol, Make sure to click Update in Project Commands whenever you change the Settings for each Project too and then go to the Options to let it Communicate with BOINC, and make sure it's set to use your online settings, |
