I'm not very familiar with how Chromebooks operate, but I see that some of them now come with permanent storage and have some integration with Android. If you can get regular Android apps, you can download the BOINC client but Rosetta only supports Android on ARM processors; it seems that most (but not all) Chromebooks are x86. I think your best bet would be to boot into Linux from a USB stick and run BOINC that way, assuming they allow you to boot from external devices. Click here to see My Detailed BOINC Stats |
