Been running my T8300 CPU OC'ed by 500MHz. Rock solid stable. (I can run @ 3.0GHz, but not very stable in the long run). Got huge performance boost: https://boinc.bakerlab.org/rosetta/show_host_detail.php?hostid=1247398 Runs not hotter than 65C full load. Around 75C when running full GPU (Collatz) and CPU (Rosetta) load (Both share the same heatsink in my laptop). With this OC, the only mobiles that beat it are the high ends i5s and the i7s. Pretty neat, huh? So just putting this out there for those with the same CPU architecture, you have A LOT of overclocking potential. Might give it a try. |

VERY NICE! Now for the tough questions...how many more credits are you getting by oc'ing than not oc'ing? How many more units are you going thru while oc'ing versus not oc'ing? Never took a note of it. But it never even got close to the 1K RAC mark. Now it passed it and reaches ~1100 RAC when running all day and all night. How did you determine the stability of the OC? No crashes, playing games for hours no problems, and no validation errors. (Except for the common WU that fails after 3 secs of execution). |

Chilean, it is nice to know that mobile core 2 duo's can be overclocked. However, I can't get SetFSB to work with my P8400 2.26ghz 533fsb. How did you find out the correct clock gen setting for your cpu? Trial and error? |

How did you find out the correct clock gen setting for your cpu? Trial and error? There was a forum with my laptop model... and had a guide on how to undervolt and overclock using the a certain PLL that works with ASUS... try google'ing your laptop model. |
