I am also crunching Collatz (ATI GPU only, no CPU work), and I had an issue where 6.10.5 downloaded weeks of work. Since going to 6.10.11, I have not been able to download work at all. I thought that this was because I had so much work going over the deadlines, but now that it is on the last few tasks and the client has aborted all the others that were overdue, I am getting this: 10/3/2009 9:35:37 AM rosetta@home update requested by user 10/3/2009 9:35:41 AM rosetta@home Sending scheduler request: Requested by user. 10/3/2009 9:35:41 AM rosetta@home Not reporting or requesting tasks 10/3/2009 9:35:46 AM rosetta@home Scheduler request completed Is this a flaw in the 6.10.11 client, or is Rosetta not supporting it? Or have I got conflicting preferences somwhere? Thanks! |

The work fetch routines with the BOINC client have been 'interesting' in most of the 6.x group. Never mind! |

You pretty much have to let it update on it's own. When I try the work fetch manually, all it did was request new work for the gpu. It just has to work fetch for the cpu on it's own. When I tried to overclock a little too much, my computer crashed while loading Boinc. Boinc disconnected from the project and lost all the work it was working on and had downloaded. After I reconnected to the project, it took half a day for it to request work for the cpu and not the gpu. I wasn't too happy but what can you do? I just downloaded some work from WCG and waited for some Rosetta work. |
