According to http://www.nvidia.com/object/io_1229516081227.html BOINC now some projects are able to tap into nVIDIA GPUs, greatly increasing the processing power.

Is this something Rosetta@Home could benefit from as well?

Sorry, I just realised this was answered elsewhere.

as far as i can find by searching 'gpu' there has been no official statement made by the team as of yet about rosetta and gpu. there is a thread here that talks about places to find gpu tasks and also why dc projects in general do not support gpu processing.

seems that boinc is now supporting graphic cards:
Version 6.4.5 ΒΆ
released: 16 Dec 2008
* Support running science jobs on graphics cards

now will rosetta write application for graphics cards in the near future?

where is it answered?

Please review Dr. Baker's post on CUDA and on GPUs and optimizations
