I have already posted it in Message 57094 One of my computers gets compute errors because of filenames that are too long to handle for WinXP. As you can see in the log file the filename is extremly long. As far as I know WinXP can only handle 255 characters including path.
The application is trying to create a gzip file which fails. OTHER WU WITH SHORTER FILENAMES DO WORK FLAWLESSLY! It has something to do with the length! Do we really need filenames that long?? Because of this error credits are not granted. Therefore I have decided to stop participating until this error is resolved and the missing credits are granted. I am running xp as well. so rather to risk taking a hit in credit i aborted the same name style file. let someone else try it. |
