Hello. I tried run Rosetta@Home on my PC (AMD Sempron 2400+ 256 mb RAM, Ubuntu 7.10) but there's information sth like "You haven't got enought RAM" (I have polish version of BOINC and I don't know how exactly it will be in english). On page with requirements we can read that Rosetta on Linux require 256 mb of RAM. So what's wrong? :/

Sorry, if my english isn't very good. ;P

Some Rosetta tasks need more than 256MB to run. I think some of the current tasks may need 400MB or more.

Also check what % of your memory is available to BOINC, it could be as low as 50% when the system is "in use".

Tasks that require more then the 256MB minimum recommendation are only sent to machines that have 480MB of memory. But if you've just started using BOINC, you may want to review the memory preferences. These can either be changed locally for that specific machine in the Advanced view, "Advanced" pulldown, then select "preferences" and the tab for disk and memory usage.

Or...

You can set your preferences for each of your host venues here on the project website, click the "[Participants]" link above here on the message board, then select the computing preferences. These general preferences will then take effect for all of your BOINC projects, not just Rosetta.
