1) WIth the new "system" in place in RAH, has anyone made a "plot" of hours run vs. grant? 2) Though it is probably answered elsewhere, if so a link is fine, but does the program look at progress and if it cannot complete the next "cycle" in the time left does it abort before it starts? Or does it start working and then quits in the middle? In other words, if I can do one and a half what-ever-they-are-called in 3 hours does it run for 3 hours, or, run for two hours and stop? I guess, basically I am asking how smart is the application about not wasting my time with using CPU cycles to not calculate partial models that are a waste of my electricity... |

HI Paul, It won't waste a second. It's pretty smart. It will make best efforts to end a run "near" your requested "run time". Generally it won't run past by much, but will end earlier. Your example is correct. If it knows it can't get that third one done, it just won't start it, and will end the run after the second model is complete. Gimme a minute and I'll post a chart showing my run times. (if I can switch back to windows and find the chart). tony |

Here's a group from when I had a 1 hour run time pref (many of the columns have been cut out since they don't pertain to your question. PM and I can send you the full .xls version). The word I should have used was "decoy", not "model" in my previous post...oops. C/H is Claimed/hour G/H is Granted/hour CC/decoy is Claimed Credit/decoy GC/decoy is Granted credit/decoy this data is from my AMD64 X2 6000 using 64b linux (with 32b linux app), but this shouldn't matter to your question. |
