your 4 legged meat friends on the farm don't live all that long once they are sold to the feed lot. us humans like animal meat. tiger steaks are good. with just a touch of the right sauce. yummmm Only for a a few hours. |

Are you nervous or angry? I am sitting in front of my box having a good glass of wine and think and write... What is the meaning of this thread? Perhaps just posting a few words for winning... So what do you mean? Is closing this thread a solution? I will miss your lovely words.... this tiger human stuff is getting old. |

maybe you can talk some sense into tiger. we need to get off this animals human business and get back to some sort of meaningful talk. btw, where you been hiding penguin? i've been a bit swamped here at work with trying to get some raw data into a manageable form so we can start a campaign that has been proposed for some time now. Now that the data is nicely arranged I can take a bit of time to peek in here. tiger broke the 200,000 level i see. i have been getting quite lucky with these recent work units and my RAC is climbing very fast. its payday on monday! my first fat paycheck! so time to see what else is going on in the world.... |

there was some downsizing at the previous place and I got caught in the first round since I was still in my trial period by a few days. makes it easier to get rid of me if I am still in the trial period. then during my big posting sessions a few months ago, I was trying to get some unemployment money, but got turned down due to technical reasons. shortly after that I put my CV/resume out on a couple of different job boards and had a recruiting company call me up and offer me a job. so I now commute about an hour and a quarter each way per day to my job. this is ok, the money is significantly better and they repay my train pass every month amongst other things. So that is why I have not been around much the past month. what sense do you mean? |

something completly different. I am in ICT now (info. comm. tech.) I am one of two people in a new "call center" that is doing a initial email campaign for the first phase of a project, followed by a phone campaign later. there is target list creation and then data analysis and report generation at the end of each stage. so far it has 2 stages. there may be a 3rd later on next year sometime. the project is estimated to last 1.5 years and then we get sent start another project or something else after that. They haven't looked that far out yet. one of my old coworkers from my other job also got recruited for this job and she joins me next month. what are you doing now on your job? the same as before or something different? |

yes, without giving to much specific detail here I will tell you the story. its about 15-20 mins by local train from my place to my transfer point to connect to the express train that stops at a station that is about 10 mins walking distance to work. i have to wait here for 5-10 mins. when i get on the express train, the trip takes about 30-40 mins. so total time with waiting and transfers is about 1.25 hrs. the trip back takes about the same amount of time. I am earning about 500 euro aprox. more per month than my old job and it is much more of a challenge and better run than my old job. you ride 1 1/4 hr by train ?? |
